Watch Portraits are just beginning!

Thanks to everyone who has come out to support my first horological art show, Watch Portraits! It was a great success. Most of my RedBarcrew friends and family were there to celebrate my new take on watch art, the Mashup. The show got some critical acclaim from HODINKEE, IW Magazine, and Worn & Wound, and there is a new article about what is happening with my photography now that the show has come down in the International New York Times

I am going to continue the spirit of my Watch Portraits exhibition with the developement of a new program with analog/shift to photograph the collections of the watch community at large. Once this program is fully realized, custom high resolution images and prints of a watch that you buy from analog/shift or from your own private collection will be available through several different packages. I will also be offering custom Mashups. This project will soon be available through analog/shift. For now, you can find the book from my exhibition available HERE on analog/shift.

Closing Reception for Watch Portraits

This Saturday the 26th of September I will be hosting a closing party for my watch photography exhibition Watch Portraits from 7-9pm at Sacred Gallery. This month has seen a lot of wonderful support for my show. The opening party was a huge success and throughout the month I have had collectors come by the gallery to view the exhibition. Prints and books are still available. If you don't have the wall space for the large prints, I have smaller sizes available as well.

So please join me in celebrating the close of my first watch photography show. I have big plans for the future of Watch Portraits, which I will talk about after this weekend!

Sacred Gallery is located at 424 Broadway on the 2nd floor.

Watch Portraits Opening Reception

Last night was the opening of my solo exhibition of horological art Watch Portraits. There was an incredible turnout that packed Sacred Gallery the entire night. A huge thank you to all the friends and family that came out to support my first watch art exhibition. A special thank you to my opening night sponsors: analog/shift, La Caravelle Champagne, RedBar, and iW Magazine. I will be holding office hours this month that I will announce soon for those that want to come by for a more personalized view.

Prints are available in a limited series of 5 for the gallery pieces, and an unlimited smaller series is for sale as well. Please get in touch with Kevin at Sacred Gallery for more information on pricing and shipping. There is a book available with all the images that are in the show, and it can purchased from Sacred Gallery or next week through analog/shift.

Watch Portraits

Watch Portraits is my new photography exhibition that will begin early next month. Focused entirely on watches, the show will feature both my macro watch photography and my Watch Mashups. The macro photographs get up close and personal with the intricate details of some beautiful timepieces. For the Mashups, I take elements from some of my favorite vintage watches and manipulate them to create unique interpretations of these classic pieces.

The photography exhibition will be at Sacred Gallery in NYC, located at 424 Broadway, 2nd Floor, in NYC. The opening reception is on Thursday, September 3rd, from 8-11 PM. The show will be up all month, but I would love to see you at the opening reception!

Prints are made on a metal surface at almost 3ft square. An edition of 5 will be sold for all large prints with smaller version available as well. A book of the exhibition will be available in limited quantities at the opening and to the public the day after.

Jaeger Le Coultre Boutique Visit

This past weekend, prior to the start of 2015 Madison Avenue Watch Week, I had a chance to visit the Jaeger-LeCoultre boutique to see the watches they would have on hand for the event. When a brand like JLC asks if you want to visit early to view some of the most exciting watches that have made their way to the boutique, you don't say no! Here are some of the highlights. Expect multiple posts as there was a lot to see!
